Just filling an application form in for an admin job and 1 of the questions is " Sexual orientation: how would you describe you sexual orientation?"

  • Heterosexual
  • Homosexual
  • Bisexual
  • "trans"
  • Question declined

The job involves nothing to do with living in or any type of caring for people. Is this the norm now? I've been in my current job a few years so not upto date on these things. Seems a bit unfair as we know a large % of women are to some degree bisexual :D

These things are only on forms so that if there's suspicion of foul play they can check how many people from x race/religion/sexual preference are employed.

and lol at "Sexual employment".

I would decline to answer, and then have the possibility of winking at the interviewer so as to maybe increase my chances of employment.

Isn't that illegal? I thought it was illegal to ask questions like are you married, sexual orientation, religion etc.

Edit, sorry didn't see the question declined option.

No, of course it's not.

These things have been on application forms for a seriously long time.

Draw your own box underneath these options labelled necropheliac / sheer pervert.

Drawing a stickman humping said box is an optional addition but shows your potential employer creative flair! :p

Probably comes from the American Military, which still doesn't allow homosexuality in its ranks.

Your kidding?!

I don't get why transsexual is on there as a sexual orientation? Unless there's another meaning of 'trans' that I don't know about.

You're a guy who likes dressing up as girls and you like guys

Maybe.

No, they operate largely on the "don't ask, don't tell" basis, a compromise policy introduced by Clinton, but serving military personnel are not allowed to be [openly] homosexual.

And given that it's president is trying to introduce legislation to ban homosexual [related] drama and art, are you surprised?

put homo, it will most likely increase the chances of getting employment, unless you are applying for a job at a gay bar.
