Ben Arfa is a show pony. If he isn't considered good enough to get in Lyons first team then I don't understand why Arsenal fans think he's good enough for them.

For the French under 17's he scored 15 goals in 22 appearances as a striker, for the french first team hes scored 1 goal in 5 appearances.

I think there's enough potential there for Wenger to mould him into more of a team player, remember when Ronaldo arrived for Utd? Very selfish as well.
We need more players who can run at defenders, at the moment it's only Walcott and he doesn't get enough games.
I'll be surprised if Wenger signed him as I can't imagine him being less than 17m.
As for United, i'd take Richards if he was willing to move. He's a good player now and will only get better, and chances are once he moved he'd be here for the rest of his career. However he wouldn't get in straight away ahead of Brown/Hargreaves/Neville, maybe season after next.
