The all-singing, all-dancing Football League Play-Off thread *SPOILERS APLENTY*

What the **** is going on Andy? Just got in and put SS1 on and it's 2-0 Carlisle.

Really would be a shame if Leeds don't make it through.

No, it would not. I've never been so ashamed of being English when I went to see them play 1860 Munich when I lived there. In my experience most of their travelling fans are sub human **** and all of their internet fans think they deserve to win everything. I hope they stay down.

Do be quiet.

Pulled goal back in 95th min, gives us hope.

Nicely balanced for 2nd Leg.

Shame Carlisle took their foot off the pedal after the 2nd.

Hughes lucky to still be on pitch.

50/50 penalty for leeds. Evened out the Carlisle shout.

Where did the 6 minutes extra time come from?

Thought it was announced as 4!

Carlisle score one at home, and it's all over. :)

Subs, stoppages etc

So they if they score 1 and we score 3 we're out? :p

On the balance of the game I'm quietly confident of going to Wembley for the final. Carlisle had much of the play until they started dropping deep, but the very fact that even before this their keeper was the clear favourite to win MotM speaks volumes. How he denied Beckford particularly for the second where he bent it from the left towards the right-hand corner of the goal was unbelievable.

Leeds were standing off their men too much, giving them too much time on the ball. Yes, they're only Carlisle, but they're in the playoffs on merit and they can play. They've proved that before.

Only one lucky deflection decided between the sides in the first leg. It'll be interesting and heart-pounding to watch the second leg. Even if Carlisle score I fancy Leeds to do the business.

I wonder who will start up front for Leeds. Kandol gives Carlisle something different to think about. He's strong, works hard and good in the air. You can't drop Freedman so it is Kandol or Beckford. Tresor might just be in with a shout.

I haven't read so much garbage for some time. Read the posts by leeds fans on the very forum you posted your bilge on, I'm a Leeds fan. Where have I said we deserve to win everything?

Your experience appears to be one single away game from years ago. This doesn't count for much, so keep your opinion if you like, but it is wrong.

As much as I agree with you with Kandol being the bigger threat McAllister won't drop Beckford purely for the fact if we do go out, the fans will be hunting him down for dropping our leading scorer.

It was no surprise he got taken off yesterday, he didn't look too good coming back from injury and had a real chance he should have scored. Kandol is decent in the air but his decision making is pretty awful sometimes. You never know, we may go for all three up front considering how bad Howson, Prutton and Kilkenny were.

The whole midfield was poor yesterday we need Johnson at LM and Sheehan back at LB (Will he be? Not sure how long he's suspended for.)

Good result for Carlisle

Leeds will have to be on top form to get anything at Brunton Park and even then I think they will struggle seeing as we have such a great home record

Carlisle had the only home record better than Leeds this season, but Swansea were the only team with a better away record.

Only one thing is certain, it aint over yet :)

it sure isnt

its going to be a tough match for both our teams :)

Went to the Leeds Carlisle match last night with my Leeds Utd supporting workmates, never supported a football team before but thoroughly enjoyed it, the atmosphere was fantastic. Sang my heart out even though I could only make out the odd word.

Can't wait for Thursday night come on Leeds.

Got myself some tickets for the game tomorrow. Figured they'd have sold out ages ago, but the website said they were still a few left this morning, so I chanced it on the walk in today, and got lucky.

I hope they take Watford to the cleaners.

I was surprised at hearing the amount of empty seats at both Watford and Palace, you'd think a play off semi final would get even the last glory hunter reaching for their wallets but apparently not.

Yeah, apparently Watford was only about 2/3rds full for the first leg, which was suprising, considering it was the weekend as well. It's only 3000 or so tickets left here, and they expect those to all be gone by tomorrow, as there were only a couple of sections left when I went in. Still, I didn't expect it, as tickets for the final game at home against Palace sold out stupidly quickly (well over a week before), and I just assumed I wouldn't have much hope of getting one for tomorrow.

Looking forward to an Okocha masterpiece and a Campbell hat-trick. *Crosses fingers*

Sub human ****? Wow! I suppose every other travelling football fans are saints then? Deserve to win everything? Seriously you need to get a grip this post is blatant bashing and trolling, surprised Gilly has taken it lightly.

Anyway on a more positive note, the atmosphere last night was amazing! Close to 40K :D When we scored in the 95min the stadium went crazy :D Give credit to their keeper he was awesome truly awesome. Carlisle played very well while we played poor our midfield and defence weren’t on the pitch, we need to put on a good show on Thursday I feel if we score early we have a very good chance :)

*shrug* it was my own experience. I have met a lot of 'bad' travelling fans, Stoke, Cardiff but nowhere near the scale of idiots I saw in Munich. I also saw a lot of other British teams play there and saw nothing like the Leeds fans. Abusive, racist, drunk, embarrassing - almost the exact (normally false) stereotype that a lot of non football fans think of when they think of 'English football hooligans'. They were indeed sub human ****. I am not trolling or calling anyone that here, I doubt whether most football fans on here travel to many away games to be honest. That is not trolling either, it's just a common perception I have that a lot football fans who post on internet forums don't go to matches, especially not away ones
