Football *Spoilers* 11th May

From the players awards dinner if anyone missed it. At 2.08 I'm guessing Nani is taking the mick out of Rio's top lip :D

Nani sounds like Borat :p

It wasn't really the league winning goal though was it? He scored the second of the game.

It was what killed off Chelsea in the other game as soon as they heard it was scored (it also settled Man Utd down considerably, the longer it was at 1-0 the worse we were playing)

I know what you mean but it doesn't mean Wigan would have scored (can be argued both ways I suppose).

Would agree if you said his goal contributed to us winning the title but wouldn't call it the League winning goal though. :)

lol, I was watching that last night it was pretty amusing. You constantly saw Nani, Anderson, Ronaldo together, every single time it went back to the studio, then back to the dining room those 3 were pestering someone else!

Boy does Anderson love dancing! All day after winning the match, then off the bus, then again at the party! :p. Legend.

Just noticed Manu are now one behind liverpool in totals, didnt realise it was that close

Also the trend from 2000 continues Manu win the league, Real win la liga.
Arsenal win it when Valencia win it and chelsea have won it when barca have.

We won 2-0. The winning goal was scored by Ronaldo. Giggs just added to that.

Only from hindsight - Chelsea heard immediately when Giggs had scored, if that hadnt gone in its quite possible that the results on the day could have been reversed - therefore losing the title

We were getting very edgy at Wigan before the 2nd goal, I still think Giggs goal was more important than people are creditiing him for (and because it was Giggs goal especially imo)

Anyone else and that would have been the league winning goal (everyone knows how dangerous 1-0 games are no matter when they are played)

Didnt realise that - I guess there is no relation to the Italian winners also is there?

Anyone else disappointed with the lack of professionalism from Avram Grant with his comments. The man is a ****, I've never liked him, but after his latest comments I have no patience for him at all.

What exactly has disappointed you?

All he's said is that some refs can be influenced and that Bennett made 2 big mistakes is your game.

Near enough every manager moans at officials and none more so than Fergie.

It's what he said, even bringing up another referee in another game against them where Mikel was sent off. He didn't have to bring anything up, or mention that he was glad that a foreign referee will be used in the final.

He tends to forget the many, many things they got away with.
Yes, Wigan should have had a penalty, but we should have had another one too?

He wasn't complaining when Kalou, 5 yards off side netted against Newcastle to get them points, he didn't complain when we weren't given a penalty against Chelsea for Ballack fouling Ronaldo.

The man should learn a bit of humility instead of playing on barbed compliments. He has no class.

actually i thought he was quite gracious when we actually won the league. this is just mind games starting again. they're a bit blatant and not really worth bothering with. we didn't let the going on before the wigan game get to us so no need for it now.

There is a difference between doing it after games ad after another team has won the league, 38 games... You'd understand if you were familiar with this position. :p

Isnt it funny how all these quotes are eminating out of Anfield about "the most successful British/English football club" in the last few days - they might actually be that if they could win the EPL occasionally:D

they are though, obviously they've got to cling to it when they're winning nothing at the mo. give it a season or two for us to surpass them on one of the big ones and jobs a good one. actually the one that made me laugh more was some of them going on about us being a small time club who couldn't sell our allocation to a european cup final where they'd have sold it several times over. as their attendances compared to theirs as a % obviously show (or rather don't).
