OMFG _ OFFICAL NV Driver Release - 175.16 WHQL

Nvidia did state just over 1 week ago that it was MS holding them up with Digital Signing.

Yep as I presumed half the time it's Microsofts fault. It happened a LOT when I was part of the ATi beta. Driver packages were sometimes delayed for up to a week because of the hold back on MS side. Very frustrating for all involved

I know they are now official, they are not new drivers though, they are the same drivers that were released last week 6th May, just now thay have been signed, if you have the beta's then you already have these drivers, like it or lump it. :

The only difference your going to get is when you install them, you wont get the not digitally signed pop up box, big ******* wow. :D

Im just amazed that they finally do some officials after 5 months, and everyone now thinks its happy days and is licking their asses again.

Ill see you in the next 5, when yer slagging them off again for not releasing any drivers. :D

Oh no, it will be in July, when they just stick some up for their 9900's they are releasing. :p

Oh dear.

Noones licking their asses

It's just no one else is making such childish arguments as you are or posting trolling comments in general

I only posted that they were the beta's, then everyone was going off on one, saying they were new, i should like it or lump it etc...

Ill delete my posts now though, get the thread back on track. :)

cue people going crazy:p

so....is it worth the wait. what improvements do they actually bring over the last whql's?

somebody answer this please?
I'd like to know if all the comotion over their whql's has been worth it. what have they added for you? ive only asked twice.

oh by the way, now that you all have your whql's, even if they are just MS certified beta's....do you now feel as good as you thought you would after all this waiting? does "WHQL" splattered all over them give you an immense sense of satisfaction that the beta's didnt?

For me at least I have all my CRT Settings back (same as .12 Betas), never ever had them in Vista ever.

Added the following pages to the NVIDIA Control Panel:
Manage Custom Resolutions
Adjust Television Color Settings
Adjust Screen Size and Position
Move CRT Position

And I dont get dumb Nvidia Failed/Recovered Error as much as on all 174 Betas, so they are as stable as 169.25's for me.

May be the exact same .16 Beta driver but Digitally Signed by MS finally.

I dont see any problem with this as MS were holding them up, peeps like Loadsa were crying for a Offical so they give a Beta to keep peeps happy and wait on MS then reup as Offical WHQL.

Also 99% of peeps dont know WTF a Beta is so only visit the main Nvidia Download page and will now see this new driver dated the 13th May 2008. :)

Not to me it doesn't, as its still not good enough imo. :)

custom resolutions is a good answer. ive been waiting for that since i moved to vista.

what about gaming? anyone? any big improvements?

See, the thing is, people have been going nuts at nvidia for not released whql's. absolutely nuts. i couldnt understand it - its not like "whql" in the title is going to make any difference. now you have them, are you all happy? what happens now? has all this whql chasing been for nothing? because i think it has. on the gaming side it brings virtually nothing that people the the 8800 series cards didnt already have, those same people with the 169 whql's who have been waiting for 6 months. except custom resolutions which i personally value greatly, but most people will never use it. the Hd video options are interesting on first look, them might interest other people. but what about the gaming?

so what have you all been waiting for? what did you expect?
