Brake Disks online....Best place? Also, best brands?

After managing to warp/crack 2 sets of blank "oem replacement" disks in 10k miles with my larger brake set up...

Lolz...that should read.

It's not because you've got big brakes that you're borking your disks mate, it's because you use them way too hard way too often.

Yes, you did fair hammer them on sunday compared to me feathering mine if I used them, and that's mainly to keep them warm if I do need to use them full-on at any point (seem useless when not warm for OEM kit).

Could be the quality of the discs you have. I've never bothered to put decent brakes on my previous cars as they were **** anyway so I'm no help with replacements, sorry.

you pretend you know my everyday driving style yet everytime you've been in the car has been at a car meet pretty much?

i'm not asking how to stop crap disks from cracking, i'm asking for disks that won't crack with my driving style....i've not spent as much as I have uprating parts like the brakes to not use them how I want to, even if it means spending a bit more to make them stand up to it. they will get far more of a hammering on any track day etc than I give them day to day and a lot of cars/setups manage that so it's not unreasonable.

Must be really bad quality discs, its not as if your brake setup is massive or anything, could it be badly fitted disks or non flat hubs causing the problem?

To get the larger calipers to fit onto the car it requires spacers.....I'm going to replace these with the ones another chap has used on his and had no problems with to see if that fixes the problem, they might not be 100% perfect as there are no off the shelf spacers you have to find your own to the right size, which could mean stacking a few together and ending up a few tenths of a mm out, which cant help.

Not pretending anything, Sarah said that's how you drive normally. Plus I've been out in the car loads with you mate, RR day, down here, out in the beemer etc.

I'm not sure that your brake set up is exactly a 'track' efficient one though. If you want that sort of durability why not go for some brembos or APracing ones? Not just bigger road brakes.

I was driving CONSIDERABLY harder at the MM/RR than i do day to day, maybe not in a straight line, but slowing back down and into bends yes. I'm gonna try the new spacers etc though as the brakes are up to the job, they dont fade at all (even at the MM after a couple of runs bedding the pads in 100% they stopped fading). After thinking about it, I really do think it is the spacers, ive never been 100% comfortable with the way they fit. Tbh i dont think i've even driven THAT hard with sarah in the car full stop.

My old 2l brakes I never had a problem with disks, they had the same disks on the car 20k miles later as when i bought it and they were dandy, and my standard disks didnt warp they just wore out so i took the opportunity to upgrade......must be a weak point in the system and im guessing it's them not biting straight.

Better disks, better airflow and a 100% straight bite......it's gotta sort the problem between them 3 :D

Brakes international are right near me, ive already spoken to them. They only do Bremtech which ive managed to crack before, or they do bremtech vented at £55+Vat each which are supposedly rebranded Black Diamonds...but i can get black diamonds for that price anyway.
