Production is again at its strongest, with our RAC up more than 10,000 from last week. A result of the new optimised apps?

I think the new optimised app definitely has something to do with it, my RAC is up at 3800 and Ive never seen it that high.

I will post here if there is any developments on the SSE2 optimised client.

Need to update all my windows boxes at work, just need to find where they all our now as the have moved around a lot :p

Thanks to the new optimised application, my RAC has more than doubled :D

We should keep spreading the word about it, and add it to the installation guide too.
 
For some wierd reason I can't run the SSSE3 app on my quads as it just returns bogus results and ends up with b0rkely telling me I can't have any more work for 12 hours :(

So the SSE3 ones seem ok for me, but one machine doesn't even like them and I've been down significant cobblies for a while now. I've switched it back to the Crunchr optimised app as it was happy on that. But still have to wait for 10 hours for another WU.

So I'm going to go down but not without a little fight Mr Ludwig :)

Yes, from what I read in the thread it seems that the SSE2 optimized V8 App is here and that a p4 Northwood at 2.6ghz is 100 seconds faster than a standard app run Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7700 @ 2.40GHz... If this is ture then :eek::eek::D

I'm using the SSE4.1 app, and it has taken my time down from 2 hours to 55 minutes per work unit on an E8400 at stock :)

Dont know, have you tried re-attaching to the project- or deleting all your workunits out of the directory and re-downloading units?

I can confirm that it has installed OK for me, though I still have to benchmark performance.
 
I can confirm using the new sse2 on a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ reduced a wu's time on average by about 3700 secs - 61.666mins - 1.02777hrs :)

No, the apps are differentiated by which CPU you are running. If you have an older P4 system, then you can not run the SSE3 app and need the SSE2 client.
Leave your version at SSE3 as it is the best for your CPU

done all of that thanks and it looks like it's installed, problem i now have is 2 11hour work units, no idea if this is normal having work units that will take that long as before i installed the optimiser i was doing units in aroun 4-6 hours depending on it's length

that shows how good the apps are, my wu went from about 4 hours to 2 :D
