Coolest gaming moment for you?

Rainbow 6: Raven Shield

Clan match whilst on Teamspeak whilst still on 56k dial up. I was last man Vs the whole other team with an M60, I heard the other team run up the stairs and I turn and shoot, wiping out 3 guys IIRC, whilst I have my mates on comms dying laughing causing me to lag very badly, I kept going and got down to the last guy, then got killed. Hilarious at the time.

Or

1 AWP shot = 3 headshot kills on dust.

I was playing eternal sonata, and was in baroque for the second time in the game. I was walking away from the castle towards the town. Just before you enter the town (by the artist) the camera pull out and frames a beautiful shot all the way back to the castle, with everything you've just walked passed and the mountains behind falling together in what I can only describe as the finest piece of artistic level construction I've ever seen. I spent a good few minutes walking back and forth seeing how all the little bits of scenery came together to form it.

edit: can't find a screenie online for the angle I want, the only one on google images is from a cutscene on the first visit which doesnt look nearly as good.

PC has to be playing a match on cs 1.5 watching all my team get killed and single handedly killing all the opposition and defusing the bomb, that was it from then i was utter rubbish as cs lol

Console has to be first time playing Goldeneye it was just awesome and i dont think ive had that feeling about a game since

Its funny how graphics have such an impact, I mean the graphics today I find superb but if u go back and look at the old consoles u used to play on i.e nintendo(nes), super nes, master system, mega drive, n64 etc u just look at them and laugh.

(well i do anyway) and think. I cant believe I used to play those games for hours with those graphics! but I suppose back then the gameplay was better aswell, or is it just because im getting older I dont recognize it that much anymore, but I suppose thats the world technology for ya developing rapidly! Imagine what the graphics will be like in 15 years time and compare them then. OOOOOOOoooooooooooo not worth thinking about.

I know the one you mean. It really is a very impressive moment. :)

I thought the game was almost over as you had collected the 3 stones, but it had only just begun!

Ahh fair point. My mate had spoilt it by asking if I was adult link yet...I was like..no.

I could still play Ocarina of Time today. I didn't like Majoras Mask though.

Probably when Psycho Mantis was telling me to put my controller on the floor. For a few seconds I wondered what the hell was going on but then I realised it was just the rumble :o

Either that, or when you first enter Hyrule Field on Ocarina of Time, that was amazing at the time :)

Going online on GR2: Summit Strike (my first time online on Xbox) then GRAW on 360 Live. A time I really felt 'wow' was watching the opening scene of GTA 4, but the actual game is a bit hyped up for what it is. It is amazing but short and the online feels boring after you have played SA:MP before with over 100 people.

I'd have to say the last levels of halo 1 and halo 3 :) racing in a warthog through explosions with that music in the background is just epic........till you manage to roll it and die :(

Doom,
Fighting my first Cyberdemon, Doom was my first introduction into the FPS genre, an amazing experience having all that freedom for the first time in a virtual 3D world, No other FPS will ever give me the feeling that this game gave me.

Decent,
Playing link up with my friends on decent for the first time, we used to play hide and seek with the ships for hours, never forget that.

Cannon Fodda,
The introduction to this game, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiYuq6Ac3a0, that track is so cool, I remember looking at my Amiga thinking nahhhhhhhh, not possible, I must have played that intro a million times.

Starwing,
4:02 into the following movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPW-9qn-exM when your ship goes into that other ship/complex to fight the final boss, my mouth was on the floor :D, amazing game.

I have loads more but they are the ones that I remembered first, may add some more later.
