Any games like Evil Genius or Dungeon Keeper?

In the mood for a building games like this but the genre seems pretty dead. Are there any newer games after Evil Genius I might have missed? What about older ones?

Some old ones you may have heard of Sarcifice, Giants or that new one Overlord i think its called. They are all slightly odd ball building games.

A vote for Giants: Citizen Kabuto - cracking game with some building elements and some of the funniest cut scenes around

Does giants run ok? Last time I tried it was about 6 years ago and it didn't like XP/my hardware.

I played it on xp a year or so ago, so i probably had my 6600GT, and it worked fine.

something thats vaguely similar is majesty, you build buildings and hire different units to do quests. you cant control the units they go off hunting and u make money from taxes and pubs etc.

Same here, didn't like my XP laptop but is fine on my Vista PC. Just one of those things

I'm following this topic as well, and would recommend Startopia as an older game. Also, Evil Genius was a massive dissapointment. Yes, it was a great game, but it could have been so much more.

Aye I would.

I did hear one was in production from Bullfrog though this would have no development work by Peter Molyneux as he left so it may not be up to those standards.

It was planned as is apparent from the ending of DK2 and the trailer included, but now Bullfrog is gone and the rights held by EA it just isn't going to happen, unless under a different name by a different developer.

Give Startopia a try, it's a few years old but it was made by some of the team who made Dungeon Keeper at Bullfrog.
