Im really in 2 minds about this... they both seem to be excellent mice. Atm I have a Razer Diamondback but want to update. I have read loads of reviews for both mice and they both seem to get either 9 or 10/10 everytime. But I want to know which is the best to get.

I play COD4 mostly
I like slimline mice
I want a mouse with high precesion yet with high speed
I'm right handed

Please help if you can, thanks :)

Logitech MX518 or G5 :D

sorry, but i personally hate the shape of Razer mice (yes, all of them!) and they often have... interesting hardware issues.
for example, a friends deathadder died the instant i pressed the "Change DPI" button on the bottom, and it had to be replaced!

On the other hand, my friends and my MX518 have been working flawlessly since the day of release (a good 5 years i think!)

ahhh i don't knowww lol. I have a razer diamondback atm so I dont have anything against razer, this one I have had for about 2 years and I havn't had a sinlge problem with it its been amazing. I have looked into the logitech mice however they seem to be bigger then the razer design and now im used to slimline coming from a diamondback... dont no :(

hmmm nah i think im gona stick with razer, im too used to slimline, i just tried a slightly less slimline mouse and didnt like it. So ill stick with razer, but I just don't know which one to get lol

I purchased a Lachesis to replace me ageing G5 but couldn't get on with, it's very small and flat, just didn't feel right so i went back to the G5. Will probably get another when i kill it.

Yeah I can understand...when I got my diamondback it took me quite a while to get used to it. However I dont want to go bad to the fitted design after getting used to the slimeline design...just a matter of opinion i suppose.

I have the Deathadder and it's fantastic. Feels perfect, performance is great, software simple to use, buttons are great as well.

I have a deathadder, VERY nice mouse. Its entirely up to you though, i read on razers website about the two ways of holding mice, the claw and the palm grip. Lachesis is claw grip (fingers are like claws on the buttons and the palm is on the back of the mouse, google it for pics) and deathadder is palm grip (snug fitting under the hand). It's personal preference which you prefer but bear in mind the deathadder is cheaper and gets awesome reviews, on par with the G5.

i have a death adder, went from the diamondback to it too, it's a bit bigger, but has a really really nice feel to it

i doubt you'll find many people that have upgraded from DA to Lachensis, purely because they were released so close together

if i was you, i'd go for the Lachensis, just because it's newer (or the boomslang 2007 special edition)

Deathadder is top of the esreality mousetest chart ahead of all the logitech and microsoft offerings.

I have just got one and its excellent, very comfy (seems about same as my ie3.0 but with a better grip) and is very fast and precise.

I had considered the lachesis but its more for lefties who need the non-right handed design. Go for the deathadder mate you wont regret it :)

Looks awesome too.
