She is not a bad actress...just horribly cast.

Also ugly! Freema Aygman is hotness!

And to say David Tennant isn't a good Dr. Who is wrong IMO.....he's perfectly cast.

Tennant is brilliant. He's charismatic and mad as a kipper, just as the doctor should be. Tate is useless though/

Never watched any doctor who ever aside from this series so i cant compare, but for me she is fine i like her. I dont need to have some 19 year old blonde doing it, its a tv program, if i need to see some stunning girl there are other programs

Its not about what she looks like really.

Its the fact she cannot act in a serious role.

The click between the Dr and the assistant needs to be there,

Frankly ther is nothing there. No connection. No spark.

Nothing.

She is out of her depth.

it's not about her looks, its about her complete lack of acting ability.

I like David Tennant as the doctor, he's great.

Catherine Tate, though, is absolutely terrible. I wasn't a fan of Billie Piper, but she was infinitely better than wooden Tate. Freema Agyman was the best of the three, but I still think they could do a lot better. I have a feeling that the BBC just needed to do something with Tate, for contractual reasons, and (mistakenly) thought that sticking her in Dr Who would be a big draw. Wrong. Get rid of her.
