You spelt smash bros wrong.
Hmm, kinda unimpressive. When I imagined using the wii mote thing as a lightsabre, I imagined a first person perspective with direct control over the lightsabre, not simply moving it in certain directions to perform moves. Maybe it's too much to ask of this generation.
It's hard to do 1:1 first person perspective lightsaber games. What happens if for instance, you hit a wall with your lightsaber, or your strike gets parried/blocked? There's nothing to make your wiimote stop just as your lightsaber in the game was stopped midstrike.
Zelda. Mario. The only 2 words that should ever be spoke of when referring to Nintendo and the Wii.
I like waggling my wii on splash brothers.
Sorry, but I just thought the vid looked average. It was a 1on1 beat em up set in the star wars world with wiimote controls. Big deal, not that new! From what was said in the vid, it sounded like the controls were simply mapped to actions. Jabbing the wiimote makes you jab. But does doing a quick jab and swipe do just that? I guess we will have to wait and see.
The thing is, watch this trailer and now which looks the best?

Edit: I found another trailer that shows all the different versions and what they are doing on each. They show a little Wii stuff which looks good, but it does highlight how the controls are still a dair bit off full analogue 3D control.

You can buy a Gamecube and Melee for 20 quid, it's the same thing really.
