Just taken the top cover off the engine to check the DV valve, considering changing it for an upgraded one as ive had the car remapped, but there seems to be a rather large amount of oil around the filler neck (i presume its just long to be able to be accessed with the engine cover on, it seems a tad loose :(

Not showing as low on oil so maybe its just spillage? Anyone noticed anything similar on theirs?

Either spillage, or its working its way out of the engine, or both.

They (the filler cap necks) just push into the rocker cover.

Right, well ill keep my eyes on it, doesnt seem to be using much oil at the min, well cant be too sure ive only had it a month and done about 1k but the light hasnt come on, ill keep checking the levels, there is a bit of oil at the top where the cap is, so Im hoping its just overspill

Check for seepage out of the gasket, but I don't think its anything sinister. All the "mess" there is above the gasket line, on top of the rocker cover, so I doubt its actually coming from the engine. I'd be pretty certain its spillage.

looks like a spillage to me.

I'd definitely recommend upgrading your DV, from a looks/sound/reliability point of view - you don't want to risk the chance of the crap plastic diaphragm in the standard dv blowing due to the extra boost and knackering your turbo!

ive seen there are loads of others on ebay that look like forge ones, any reason not to get them?

If they are much cheaper than the forge ones from forge direct, then the key part of your post is highlighted ;)

The forge ones are very very good quality.

<seatcupra.net mode> Get a Forge 007p on there pronto! </seatcupra.net mode>

Don't forget to mount it backwards for that extra noise ;)

i don't like the sound of them back to front, the piston ping annoys me :(

I got mine for £75 delivered brand new from a re-seller :D

It's a remapping company but he buys them in bulk to offer to remap customers. They sell like hotcakes at this price, I had to wait a couple of weeks 'til he had more in, not sure if he's still doing that price though

Been in touch with him and have ordered one, hopefully here soon!

Cheers for the info

good stuff, be sure to get 2 x ~32-35mm jubilee clips and a small tie-wrap before trying to fit it then realising you can't without them, then being unable to put your standard one back on :D
