After a very lengthy discussion, the missus and I have decided that we are going to get married in Mexico in November this year.

I have been through quite a number of websites to see what's on offer there and it seems an endless array of absolutely gorgeous places.

Has anyone else been to Mexico to get married and spend their honeymoon there?

Choose the right time of year:
Spring break rather than hurricane season ;]

Well I will take my kite then

If there are Hurricanes, they normally happen between August - October.

Plus the possibility of the missus being on Dialysis this time next year :(

So no room for movements on time of travel.

Ah right, a friend went to his brothers wedding not long after a hurricane hit a couple of years ago, devastated Cancun :/

Oh, I didnt get married in Mexico, but did in the Dom Rep. Getting married abroad was the best thing we could have ever done in terms of a wedding.
1 recommendation, do not get married on the beach! you can go have pics down there but from what I saw (not from our wedding mind as we got married in gardens), you will get a lot of fat americans walking around in next to nothing in the shots! :D

Im going to Brasilia next spring break

Where abouts are you going, Im off to Brazil in September :) Spending 3 nights in Rio, then 2 nights at Iguassu Falls and then 9 nights in Salvador.

Wiggins hope it all goes well for you, we had an amazing time in Mexico when we went in March this year.

I never got married in Mexico, However I spent my honeymoon there and although we had a blast and the beaches were great it felt a little too much like Spain to me.Personally I would look for somewhere in the USA whc hwas much more special than Mexico.Cancun is where we went and the nightlfe was great,The food was good but there were a lot a drug dealers offering us coke and weed  and the shop keepers heckled you every 2 minutes to buy something from them.So it wasnt ideal as a honeymoon resort.

Bank holiday monday, I will be somewhere near Gatwick (live 5 mins from) probably (if the wife hasnt dragged me and the boy off to Brighton or similar!).
If i'm around, fancy a beer (or a diet coke given it will be morning) at the airport?

Sounds good to me! I plan on getting a pay and go sim tomorrow morning so as soon as I get that I will let you know my number over MSN or similar. :)

What sort of holiday do you want? Lots of nightlife, or something more relaxing? If you want the nightlife then Cancun is where you want your hotel, however if you want something more relaxing then something like the Excellence Playa Mujeres or Excellence Riviera Cancun are both very very good hotels.

Have a look at http://www.caribbeanwarehouse.co.uk/ - they've got some very good prices for some of the better hotels in Mexico, and I've heard that they're very helpful if you need to organise a wedding or honeymoon :)
