XP SP3 vs Vista SP1 gaming performance comparisson

Good to see Vista has caught up with XP since SP1 :)

Personally never had a problem with games in Vista, I score exactly the same in 3DMark06 as well as the same FPS in games :)

x64 SP1 :D
 
Ditto never had trouble with Vista x64, Kerio Personal firewall wouldn't install, bought NOD32 instead.

Love all the useful features in Vista, index search has made my life so much easier.

vista change in good way in past 4 months i say im using vista ultimate sp1 64 bit and did not have any problems runs smooth and it has dx10 witch we will use more in future as i only played 2 games on dx10 bioshock and crysis
 
I tried using Vista for the last few weeks but just couldn't get use to it. And I remember taking a bigger hit on my games FPS. Meh, I'm happy with XP :)
 
I'm sticking with XP, purely and simply because there's nothing wrong with it, so why change? I'm not going to upgrade just because Microsoft tell me to by cutting support (not that the give me any anyway, given the circumstances of my installation :)).
 
Thats good to see, I was going to do an XP install for benching but looking at that it doesnt seem worth it.

I have been happy on Vista for the last year.
 
Heh i always loved 98 and took me a few years to move to xp... used 98 a while ago via wmware to test something... my god is it ****

sure people will say the same thing about xp eventually when vista gets a bit more use... still aint touching it though :)
 
Windows NT4 for Workstations is where its AT!


Windows NT4 still sends shivers down my spine when thought about, by the way.
