Dude, if you didn't get the premise of my post then you really are stupid, I obviously wasn't being literal when I was saying 'fantastic' lol, what I was blatantly high-lighting was the fact that the playstation 3 has sold more in Europe and many other countries even with the extreme delay they had hitting the retail shelves, no in-game xmb, no really decent titles released yet, like I've said before even against those odds the PS3 is continuing to out sell the 360 in Europe and the far east, plus it's now is matching sales in north America, that is impressive and the PS3 hasn't even peaked yet.

Buying 3rd party leads is no excuse Streeteh, Sony bigged up Blu-Ray and HD gaming and then to not include it is a disgrace really. They should have put a Component cable in with every single PS3.

My problem with the Six-Axis isn't just with the abysmal build quality or the standard of it's joysticks, it's much to do with design. Its analogue controls were fine when the majority of games utilised Digital controls, with the left stick being used in almost all games as the primary control method it should be in the more natural position like the face buttons on the opposite side. Then there are the triggers which are godawful.

Atleast it still has the best d-pad.

my point is just because it sells more does not qualify it as fantastic they have a lot of work to do to get to that stage or are you saying you are happy if sony said ok thats your lot have some games but dont expect online to improve

Fair point, upon reflection it was a mistake not to include a HDMI/component cable, however that still isn't a flaw with the actual console itself, more a bad choice of package. I personally prefer the symmetrical layout of the controller, but as you stated personal preference and whatnot. I just fail to see how TheStig can say it is a poor piece of hardware when it's anything but (shoddy blu-ray diodes aside).

I love progress and if a console adds something new for us gamers I'm happy. Unlike the Playstion brand which is the same every generation but with improved graphics. This is why I liked the Dreamcast and this Gen I own a Wii and a 360.

If you can explain why the hardware of the Playstation 3 (the actual console, not peripherals) isn't a fantastic bit of hardware then people may accept the nonsense you seem all too willing to spread.

We all know hardware is required to run software, But that's not the debate, it's got nothing to do with it. It still stands that I initially said that Sony's hardware is fantastic, and Microsoft's Software is fantastic. And you countered that with no real counter other than calling me a viral sony marketer. Great

Yet. It certainly has the power to equal/surpass it though. It's less than 2 years into its life cycle and on those where it doesn't perform as well as XBox360, most cases exaggerate it.

Free online. Big name exclusives. Quieter. Then there are the none gaming things, which for me it does everything better than Xbox360 in relations to media.

The d-pad is 13 years old and is still the best around. The controller should have been better, yes, that I don't think anyone could argue.

Its cost is not too high. Yes, it was at launch, £425 was very high, but not at the time for a Blu-Ray player.

The fact is, the Xbox360 attacks the market in one area, games, and it's currently frontrunner there, the PS3 attacks 2, gaming where it's not too far behind Xbox360 and Media where it leaves the Xbox360 standing.
