IGN has reviewed Haze - 4.5 out of 10

rofl :D

To be fair, it has looked **** for a while now, so the score is no surprise

Still, I may rent it for a look myself

yyaaaayyyy, another pointless, waste of time, failure of a game for the ps3! Sony did realise that this is meant to be a games console right? Or did I get the wrong impression?

er not meaning to cause trouble, I'm genuinly not sure, but wasn't this meant to be one of the big PS3 games of the year?

It was hyped out of all proportion just like Lair. Unfortunately it did look half decent when it was touted during the early days of the PS3 so it was followed up with marketing hype cos there just wasnt very much else out there.

It has turned out to be **** but thankfuly there are bigger and better things on the horizon which promise much more.

Haven't Famitsu reviewed it favourably though?

1-1 at the minute then, but with the crowd gunning for YouSuck FC

ah ok, I knew I had heard of it and the initial hype, hence my confusion it = FAIL.
Thanks for clearing that up.

Haze was touted as a great PS3 exclusive from a developer well versed in first-person shooter mechanics. While Free Radical does have a solid pedigree, Haze does not live up to the company's reputation thanks to a horrible plot, weak gameplay mechanics and visuals that are truly underwhelming. While playing with friends is enjoyable, not even those are enough to bring this lackluster title around.

Presentation = 4.5
A bland story with weak characters and simplistic commentaries on serious topics, Haze is a generic tale at best about war.

Graphics = 4
Tons of visual issues abound within the game, from texture tears and non-descript environments to pop-in and odd animation problems.

Sound = 5
Dialogue is hokey and repetitive regardless of what side you're on. Sound effects are good, but that's not enough to make you turn the volume up once you've hit mute.

Gameplay = 4.5
A creative concept hampered by gimmicks, a weak story and poor AI, Haze is a disappointment from a developer well versed in shooter mechanics.

Lasting Appeal = 4.5
Two player split-screen and four player co-op helps put a minor spin on the campaign, but it won't extend the replayability of the game much. Nor will multiplayer modes and its useless merit system.

OVERALL = 4.5 (Poor)

What did they slate it for? Would someone mind pasting their conclusion please? (can't access the link at the moment).

Hopefully they'll get all the issues sorted out with timeplitters 4, this could have been good but it almost seems they rushed it, even though its been delayed countless times.

So, so far we have:

OPSM: 9/10

Famitsu: 34/40

IGN: 4.5/10

I'm a little confused, clearly some form of bias MUST be in play here.
