Guitar Hero 3

My Les Paul played up a bit tonight, you know the movement in the neck. It was making the red fret a little hit and miss. It would drop out of the long notes.

Noticed pushing it down would fix it. Disconnected and re-attached and it's fine for now. I really don't get on with the GH2 guitar dunno why probs just habit.

Anyway went in search of the warranty and its only 90 days for a guitar so I checked google for fixes and came across this.....

I could just get one of the guys at work to re-pin the controller but thought this would be easier. Anyone ever done any of these?

I really wish they would bring one out without the detachable neck.

I haven't used the les paul for months, only really use it for 2 player. The explorer is my weapon of choice, find it far more comfortable to use. Everything about the les paul is dodgy, my green fret is very hit and miss and the star power is so oversensitive that it basically just activates as soon as you get it, even if the guitar is completely flat.

I played this bad boy for a bit earlier after a LONG time of not playing. Tried One on Hard, and blimey, it is awesome fun to play but that solo about 85% is messed me up big time

Can't wait for Rock Band!

I still can't get anywhere on GH2 on hard. Hit a wall, 'mother' the bridge section just leaves me looking on and crying as the notes fly past me. I can only do the first song on GH3 on hard.

Every couple of days I try again and again.

Save star power (both of you). It's a god send on One and Mother. Both killed me as well

Just picked up gh2 tonight for the first time in 2 months I think.....wow I get nailed

Tried playing Six

Easy felt hard work
Medium was kinda tricky
Hard I just flat out failed

I know it's one of the hardest songs on the game so I'm not that upset...

Then came Freya on Expert

Never even made the first solo

Now I cba to play tonight as I'm rather tired

The DLC for this varies so much in difficulty, all of the Muse tracks on medium I nailed 5 star or perfect first time, same for the no doubt pack. Yet the Foo's pack kills me even on medium, I just about 3 star them.

I know it winds me up, why not fill the pack with classics? Its only 3 songs ffs. Plug In Baby and New Born or Bliss would have made it three excellent tracks.

Same with the "modern metal" pack, Avenged Sevenfold!!? :mad:

Tempted to write a little e-mail to.... someone, requesting some Pantera, I mean, they've got a Dimebag model in GH3 so why no Pantera in the game.

Pantera is hardly modern metal (although vastly superior) Unfortunately they seem to be focusing on the newer material for DLC.

Yeah that was a satisfying one, mainly because I only had the Les Paul with me and I had to play standing perfectly still with the guitar perfectly horizontal to stop it activating star power. I did it on expert though.

Once I've activated and completed a star power, I have to point the guitar down in order to prevent the next star power from beginning automatically. Once its been pointed down in a kind of reverse star power activation, it seems to behave in a more reasonable fashion.

I tend to stick to the GH2 guitar as it doesn't have any of the problems of the GH3 guitar, nor does it need batteries.

im about 40k off 5* it on hard and i cant do it

ive just been trying for 500k achievement with all my life on expert, i can only manage around 390k but im told its possible, i just cant string it all together.

any1 got it on anythign easier?
