Penalties and the winner goes to the wrong team.

2nd half yep. 1st half Utd owned them.

But then throughout this competition Utd defence gets them through. They held out against Barca. When Barca imo overrall played the better football.

Did anyone else see Van de Saar psych-out Anelka at the end?

He pointed to the top right corner of the goal as if to ask "going to put it there?" and of course Anelka went to the left instead - exactly where VDS wanted him to go.

Manchester dominated in the first half, no doubt about that. Second half Chelsea creeped back in. Referee was really a piece of work - there were about four corners and numerous throws given to Manchester when they should have been Chelsea's. Makelele should never have been booked for Schole's injury. Drogba's red was unnecessary but probably wouldn't have changed the outcome. I don't understand Grant's decision to put Essien up with Ronaldo - he doesn't have the pace and isn't even a defender. o_O

It was a brutal, tight game and at the end of the day it came down to luck. GG.
