Time for bed, half 3 here, and I need to be up in two hours. Oh dear.

Just like to say great game, unlucky Chelsea, genuinely feel for you. Congrats to Man Utd.

Good night all.

Tough on Chelsea - great (nerve wracking) game

I said in the last Prem thread that Giggs would get the winner

After Ronny's miss though I thought it was all over - would never have guessed Terry to miss like that

It just feels incredible - I actually have a feeling Utd will successfullly defend it now

Even though there were a number of corners given as goal kicks, there were a lot of free kicks the wrong way also imo

Im not sure why Chelsea started complaining and started the scuffle - the ref stuck to the letter of the law and sent Drogba off but it was a little harsh, thought that scuffle would end in a lot more bookings though

Sorry Lampard has lost all my respect for his interview - he completely glossed over the 1st half as if they where actually in it

Yup, one of the best games of the season.

For sure.

I texted one of my mates saying good luck to Chelsea before the shootout and I wouldn't have had any qualms if we lost.

A really fantastic game, it easily lived up to the hype.

The refereeing was generally poor for most of the night, decisions went wrong for everyone tonight - although in general Chelsea seemed to get more against them.

Drogba is an absolute fool to be slapping somebody so close to the end of the game. For those saying he was provoked... if the law said you can slap somebody in the face as long as your provoked we'd be watching boxing not football. He got what he deserved just like Nani did a few weeks ago... stupid behaviour...

Unlucky for Chelsea, fantastic performance.

I think first 45 we slightly edged it, out classed in the second half... extra time was very even really.

I feel sorry for Frank Lampard as it would have been something that would have possibly meant a lot more to him right now than any other player out there.

Really pleased for Scholes like I said.

I think Ronaldo surely put the "he goes missing in big games" story out the window now, he was fabulous tonight but Chelsea did a brilliant job in the second half to keep him quiet.

Well considering i did actually sit on the stairs for the whole of the penalties I can say that I am chuffed to bits with being Champions of Europe again. 1at half ours. 2nd half Chelsea. Pens a bloomin lottery.

Pentalties is no way to win the game or loose it for that matter. I'm happy we have won and I can't see any other way of settling games like this. Must say I genuinely feel for JT tonight. Utd fan by admision but Chelsea blue through and through. Shame for such a great player to miss his pen. Any other player I wouldn't give two ***** about. But JT lead by example throughout. More importantly why was that bald headed clown, Kenyon allowed to go up at all for a medal.

Final point which is a bit cheesy but well done both sets of fans on here and in Moscow for being well behaved and respectful

If Lampard had of passed to Cole there, would've been a goal because Cole was deffo onside

Edit- talking about the replay on itv, I don't still think the game is going on :p

How can anyone say the referree had a good game. So many times when it went out of play Man Utd got given it, when it was so blatently a Chelsea ball - i could name 5 different occasions.

Then I come to the penalties, check out Malouda - absolutly the most blatent penalty ive seen in my life - just triped up. Then you come to Rio and Joe cole where the linesman flagged but no penalty given - ref got some big pay check thats all I can say

Always a good night to see Captain Marvel cry, you overrated, cheating scum of a player, glad you missed!

Very please Utd won it, even though I'm Arsenal I'd rather the team that plays the best football win it! Wouldn't say either team played well tonight but over the whole season and generally through matches in Europe I'd say Utd are actually the best team in Europe at the moment.
