Linking to a site

You know when people put a link for something, ie a website or to download a .mp3 and they put 'download here' and have the link actually in the 'download here' bit?

Hows this done? I should really know this by now, since everyone does it!

Well, in if you use the quick reply, above the box between the colour and the picture buttons is the url button. Hit that, and stick the website there, and it puts the tags there, for you to edit in alternate text.

Facebook isn't a forum, and doesn't run PHP script. And I don't think you can use html in it either (though try Fisha's attempt in the first post to try it out).

I don't think you can do what you're trying to do in Facebook.
