Spurs fans might not admit it because he left them, any worth their salt will tell you he was a massive part behind their push to 4th that season and was their best player by miles, they've done nothing close without him and still haven't replaced him.

Umm.. the season after he left they only finished 5 points off their previous seasons tally, and they've since gone on to win a Carling Cup. Hardly doing "nothing close".

Utter rubbish. Our past it midfielder sends us in to the final? You don't win the double with two crap midfeilders pal, maybe that's Pool's problem.

Scholes sent you to the final? How fickle some football fans are, he gets critisised all season by his own fans then he "sends them to final" because he scores one goal.

No one said anyone was crap, putting words in my mouth is hardly going to help anything.

1. Utd are just as bad at surrounding the ref, in fact most teams do it, so why the hell do Chelsea always get stick for it?

In fairness, your lot were shocking last night. You get stick for it because of how you do it constantly and last night was as bad as ever. The fact is, we never did it.
I've praised Chelsea none stop for last night, but that's one area where Chelsea were disgraceful and the main culprits were Joe Cole and Didier Drogba.

You weren't as bad as Chelsea but there was an incident or 2 in the first half where you surrounded the ref too.

Imo Carrick was carried by Scholes for a lot of last season, Carrick did the simple things - backwards passes (he likes those) while Scholes was the creator. This season I thought Anderson was the star performer in the first half the season, outshining Carrick despite being just 19. The one game I saw Carrick put in an excellent performance against a top team was against Chelsea, 3 days after they had lost their manager I must add. He has played pretty well against the lesser teams, but we knew he could do that anyway and there are many (cheaper) midfielders who could do a similar job.
Before Christmas yes, Carrick was poor that season. After that he was probably our star performer and he carried Scholes from that point. You mention Carrick getting MotM against Chelsea 3 days after they lost their manager, but he also got MotM in the game against Chelsea before that where Mourinho was their manager, so that's not gonna wash.

He was also brilliant in ALL games against Liverpool, so I'm very surprised you forgot those, he was brilliant again last night, he was also fantastic against Arsenal.

People don't watch Carrick enough, I'd rate him in the top 5 CM's in the EPL without a doubt. If other people don't think so, fine, but for the current best team in the World, back to back Premiership Champions, he's the first name down in CM and we've just signed him on a new 4 year contract. If we thought he was overrated we would have sold him wouldn't we? The fact is, he is a fantastic midfielder who other teams underrate as oppose to Man Utd overrate. Like I said, we've seen many, many brilliant CM's at Old Trafford in the Fergie years and Carrick rates right up there.

At least he had the guts to go up and take a penalty

I said the same thing at Euro '96 when Southgate missed, at least he had the guts, more than you can say for Ince et al. Don't worry about it, it's the mentality of English fans to make a scapegoat, look at Rooney at the World Cup.

Oh wow, a Carling Cup. Let's not get carried away.
They've bought a ton of new players and Berbatov and Keanes partnership has helped, but there is still a MASSIVE Carrick shaped hole in Midfield.

Yeah, not every team is a Manchester United y'know . A Carling Cup or any silverware for that matter is a big deal for a club like Spurs. Typical ignorant Man U fan.

Yeh, just watched on youtube, terry definately spat at tevez. Tevez then puts his hand over the back of his neck to wipe it off. I used to respect terry before, but not after this,

Not at all, but in Spurs you have a team who should be competing for UEFA Cups and FA Cups, not Carling cups.

It's not ignorance, it's circumstances.

It would be a big deal for other teams in the EPL, but that's not the height of quality for the means of Spurs. So don't you dare call me a typical ignorant Man Utd fan.
