Electric Shavers or Razors ??

I used to use electric all the time but switched to wet shave as everyone says its better. Now takes longer and I actually dont find it as close with me, but maybe my blades are just crap and need changing lol.

I prefer a razor.

I used my electric shaver for ages and found my face would go red and blotchy in places, didnt feel comfy either.

I just use a razor now and have some nice after cream which works a treat.

Do you shave with the grain?

Electric every 2nd day, wet on special occasions.

Wet shaving takes too long to do daily, and I can use my electric one at work. No irritation or dry skin on my end.

Totally dependant on what you're used to and happy with. There is no universal answer for this. I prefer wet shaves, (King of shave oils and cream?, with atm the Gilette Fusion razor) but often only have time to have a dry shave with water (Philips arcitec).

you wet shave and electric on the odd day, whats your face say to that?

nothing? I'm not in the habit of holding a conversation with different parts of my body. :p

It doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference to my skin if that's what you mean? I've sensitive skin in relation to what kinds of products I use on it, but not what type of shave I opt for. Is it supposed to be bad for my skin?

Wet Shave!!

Always have done.

The missus wont let me down there unless I have had a good close one with a wet razor.

I have always used electric most of the time. I started off with razors but i always came out in a bad rash for some reason. So i tried out electric, i find i dont get the close shave, but it will do.

yeah i do

That's why you don't get a good result when you wet shave. You really need to go against the grain to get it properly close.

Often the best method is the shave twice method, where you shave with the grain first to shorten, then against the grain to bring it really close for the baby's bum effect.

Electric for me too, won't go back to wet shaving now as I get good results from my Philips, and changing from one to the other brings on skin irritation. It's just so easy to shave regularly with the electric, the effort involved with getting a good wet shave got tiresome.
