Bit random. This is my mums but she has left it in the garage for 6 years, so I have brought it home to mine and done a few bits over the last few months. MOTed it today. Needs a damn good polish!

Nice cars: what's under the bonnet?

There's an interesting blue one floating around the 'net with a twin-turbo'd V8 or something...

You should do that. :)
 
That looks on the outside to be in pretty good nick, a nice restoration project with an SR20DET engine swap.
 
It does split opinions! I can see why people call it ghastly, its truely a thing of the 80s! Its a 2.8 straight 6, and I have no plans to upgrade it or tune it. TBH its just there to have, its insured for 3000miles a year and I doubt it will ever make it to that. Main reason for dragging it out is it has lots of cool memories for me, mum had a succession of 240s and 260s before this, but this is the one I can remember being taken to school in etc.

Condition wise its in very nice nick, it was zebarted from new and was painted about 8 years ago. It has a couple of patchs needing attention, but tbh they will have to get worse before I will do them, as they are really very minor.

Not sure the fiesta looks better tbh, although I have a massive soft spot for them, to say the very, very least! They are very different cars, 280zxs and xr2is lol.

no its red velour and plastic! Its pretty hideous but I wont change it. Trying to find nice condtion red bits to replace the badly faded bits thou. Easier said than done. It is a comfortable cruiser thou. They did do a brown interior, it was even worse!
