My research has shown so far:

- new belt every 3 years @ £1700
- annual service at £800-£1200
- new tyres every 10-15k miles

Do these figures sound about right? Or am I way off?

PS: It's not for me... :p

Get the early model with the horseshoe led lights. They are meant to be very reliable. I considered one as they are around the 15/16k mark for a good example. But like yourself running costs are v.high

Having worked for a while at a Maser dealership the general consensus was to avoid them because they're very badly built, very expensive to fix and not that brilliant to drive.

A lot of the components are of dubious quality to start with and parts prices are huge.

I love the look of them but given what you get and the running costs you may as well get a Ferarri 355. Some of them appear very, very cheap but that's for a reason.

wrong way round.

the 3200 ( funky lights) was considered less reliable than the later 4200.

(twin turbo V8 compared to NA V8 amongst other things)

all 3200 have the funky lights and 4200's have the more normal rear lights.

my dad has a 4200 and its been in the garage a few times for silly things, broken electic motor in front seat, sat nav playing up etc. all under warranty so far luckily.
