Grammar faux pas!

I saw somebody type 'Wallah' when they wanted to type 'voila', i simply didnt have the heart to even mention. Forums crush your spelling spirit!

One of my best friends spells "don't" as "do'nt" and all the other little contractions are spelt the same - it does my nut in, but I just don't feel right about telling him. He'd be gutted - especially since it's been going on for years.

I love grammar I do.

My lowest grammar moment was when I was going to an exam in my final year at uni. As I entered the building where the exam was to be held, I saw a sign on the wall:-

"Exam's this way->"

Bearing in mind it was a university. ARGHHHH!!!!

There were lots of exams, unfortunately. Although "Exam is this way" could be "Exam's this way", it's a little informal for a university I think. Defo an error!

People getting advice & advise is quite annoying, not just on the internets though!
Saw this on the back of packet of superglue.

Post-It notes and correction fluid are a great tool to correct apostrophe mistakes you see out and about, not that I carry these around with me. English is not even my first spoken language, French is.

Is my sarcasm detector failing or are you actually insane? :/

Lolworth! Is your monitor a patchwork of yellow and pink squares and white splodges?! :D

Do you mean regarding the Tippex stuff? No. At uni, our SU pub was wrongly called "The Stags Head". Cue several instances of people using Tippex to add an apostrophe. Eventually a motion was passed through the SU council (in the interest of good english) to fund a change for all the media related to the pub to "The Stag's Head".

You can't make this stuff up.
