hi

i've bought a Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz for my system, ive put them in and set the speed to 533mhz in the bios, everything else is set to auto. it's running fine but the amd overdrive and Sandra Lite is saying they are running at 1.9v  and the timings are 5.7.7.25 instead of 5.5.5.15. i've changed the timings to 5.5.5.15 in amd overdrive and it runs fine but i need to put the settings in the bios but to manuelly set the timings u need to choose "dct 0 or dct 1 or both" what does that mean?

its rated at 2.2, so you may as well leave it on 2.2v. I can't find much about dct, maybe its best to leave that setting on auto?
i've put the voltage to 2.2v now and seems to be run fine (same as when the voltage was on auto)

but about the dct setting if its on auto i can't change the timings. only when its on dct 0 or dct 1 or both, that the timings can be changed..

update

i found out what dct 0/1 means.. dct 0 and 1 means the memory channels in unganged mode. e'g dct 0 = the first channel and dct 1 is the second channel.. so the setting must be set to both then set the timings on both lists..:D

anyway works fine now (5.5.5.15)..

does anyone know of a good memory benchmark? and what should i be getting for the read and write speed at 1066mhz 5-5-5-15?

You can use Everest Ultimate edition.

For long life of your memory, try to use a lower voltage (I use 1.9 @400 4-4-4 -12)
