The all-singing, all-dancing Football League Play-Off thread *SPOILERS APLENTY*

Congratulations Hull, unlucky Bristol :( - Although it must be said the Bristol boys played a great game but they couldn't quite make that well deserved equalizer

Am gutted to say the least but so very very proud of my boys for the season we have just had. We couldnt quite do it on the day but I have nothing to be ashamed of.

I really am praying that Bradley Orr (bloke who went off on the stretcher for those who dont know - one of our best defenders and a great influence on the rest of the team) isnt too badly hurt. Hes undergone surgery on a suspected fractured cheekbone and depressed fracture of the skull.

Hes not one who gives in easily and so would have been gutted to have gone off. I think his departure may have had a part in todays result, as in it affected the rest of the team. Hes such a lynchpin.

Roll on next season and good luck to Hull.

It definitely hurt you I thought. Coming straight after the goal meant it gave Hull's players time to calm down and not get caught unawares by a quick reply. Added to that Orr is a quality player, and one of your best, so you were going to miss him as soon as he went.

That said, I think it was all about Hull's defence today. Your lot had the majority of possession for almost all the game, and yet could do very little with it, because Turner and Brown were in such fantastic form. They won so many headers, and blocked so many chances, that they both deserved MotM over Windass in my eyes. By the last ten minutes, everyone in the pub was cheering the saves/missed shots/blocks/tackles almost as loudly as we had the goal in the first half.

I really hope they manage to stay up next season. In all honesty the target is probably little more than not being as terrible as Derby, but then, at the start of this season, most City fans were expecting a dull lower-mid-table finish at best, and relegation at worst, so who knows!

We'll see..happens all the time!

Outside of the Premier League, Bristol City have one of the best English managers in the country, and thats why we wont be relegated after all these years of trying to get up into the championship.

living just outside hull, I know many Hull city fans and I am really pleased for the for them, all the crap they had to put up with over the years.

Plus next season is guaranteed winner, no matter how bad they do it will still be the teams highest finishing place ever.

Bristol could go down, we played them off the park at Oakwell and without a couple of shocking ref decisions would have come away with at least a point at Ashton Gate.

There are sadly two teams in Bristol remember?
You played CITY. Thats BRISTOL CITY.
Geddit

Good!
:p

You may have a point if Rovers were in the Championship :p I presume he thought you would have known he was talking about city :p

I just never miss a chance to poke fun at our cousins from across the river, the lesserspotted bluesags.
(much uglier and much less talent....ooooh and they shortly wont have a home to play at either. Theres only one team in Cheltenham!! :D )
