Spec me a diet/workout plan

I know there are a lot of threads about this over the forum but I thought I'd make me own :p

Anyway, I'm wanting to lose 2-3 stone. I'm 21, 6ft and 215lbs. I don't look heavy, prolly the height that carries this. I would like to know what a good diet would be and a good workout plan. I have just started going to the gym this past week and have been doing Cardio (treadmill, bike, cross trainer etc.). Any ideas?

I would like a diet that does not cost you a fortune on food lol.

I have been heavy all my life and I think the most weight would be in my chest. I haven't got manboobs but as I said, my chest is heavy. What would be the best exercises e.g. to work on this?

I want to become healthier and would like to lose some weight before my holiday in Oct.

Any feedback is welcomed.

Have a good read of that (regardless of whether you are thinking about weights or not, it will give you some great basic information that will give you something to think about) :]
 
Start off slow and learn as much as possible about living a healthy life style. If your eating habits are bad right now, it'll take a lot of dedication to change them. Once you do, you'll start enjoying healthy food more, like fruit and chicken(not fried), none of that processed stuff.

Tell us what you usually eat in a day and what sort of exercise you get. We can start from there.

Basically I would like to know if I would loose weight by just doing weights or do I need to do some sort of running or biking aswell?

Im completly retarded when it comes to this sorta thing so any help is appreciated.

you can lose weight doing weights yes. end of the day you are expending energy (kcals), so as long as you are using more than you are taking in you will lose :]

Yup, HOWEVER your diet is going to have to be strict! Why not just throw in morning cardio to speed things up? Doing cardio first thing in the morning is the best way to burn fat, if burning fat is your only goal that is.
