Guitar Hero 3

woot i finaly got 500k achievement, 502k on flannigans ball expert. and while doing that i got the 250,000 note achieve ment too :)

straight after doin that i tried to do luo on expert and i beat him first time aswell :p so i got expert achievement and beating all difficulties achievement.

im currently working on dragonforce on expert and i can get 4% in atm, if i can do the intro i think i can do the song. ive got an elastic band holding the green button down so i can do the other 4 but i cant hit the buttons on and off quick enough to be geting the green notes.
 
What are most people using for the lag settings audio and video

I haven't found a setting that feels right yet. I can nail songs on my CRT but my HDTV I struggle with songs on expert where notes are bunched together

Need a hoooge homebase though :( Small ones don't usually stock them :(

also see if you can find driver or bits with a thin shaft - not essential for this job but handy all the same :)

Failing that I can send you a loaner T10 Security bit?

Dirty cheat :p Learn to tap, it's great fun. Also, if you pass the intro, the solo's will still kill you :)
 
Is it possible to buy the Wii version of guitar hero 3 but without the guitar? I ask because i want to buy both gh3 and gh:aerosmith, and would prefer to have the aerosmith guitar and not have to pay lots for gh3 when i wont need its guitar.
 
Can you do Coop over Xbox Live? I have had the game since release but have barely touched the multiplayer. I only have one song on hard left to do and a few on expert so I imagine I can cope fairly easily at medium. Add me and if you are around this afternoon we can try it then.

On hard at the moment, just got to the tier with 3s & 7s, KoC etc...

Nailed KoC somehow, (only 3 stars, but I got it :D)

How the hell do you do 3's & 7's :eek:

The trick is holding the green button and practise really. Take it into practise mode and start on slowest and work your way up.

I can tap the intro 90% of the time i use my left hand for GRYB and my right index finger on O

i have the green button held down with a elastic band, i can get 3-4% in then i just lose it. i should prob practise it on a slower speed.
 
I found the elastic band harder than proper tapping. I hold my index on Green, middle for red, ring for yellow, then my other index finger for blue and orange. Took me about 20 minutes to go from slowest to full speed, and I can quite frequently get 98% in the intro, only missing the slide at the end.
