Beckham scores from inside his own half

Pretty good, but then I remember the crazy salary that he is on. Heck, even players earning 10K a week should be expected to score a goal like that.

Its actually quite pathetic how much people go on about how much footballers are paid. It actually seems like people are just jealous because they are earning lots of money doing something they enjoy.

If you were in any job with a salary like that and a comparable opportunity came up like that, people would not think it was amazing you took it, they'd just expect it.

And sure I'm jealous, isn't everyone? :eek:

I don't think he's going on about how much footballers are getting paid though - he's simply saying that it's the sort of goal any top flight player (£10k/week) should be able to score, never mind the big earners. If the salaries were say £100/week compared to £10/week, his point would still stand.

can i just register the fact that i am in fact very jealous of people who get paid that much to do a job they love.

Yeah i know, i was just in a "huff" when i replied, as someone had just being telling me that there doesn't need to be a break in the football season, as footballers are paid enough to go without breaks. And he was serious.
 
To be honest 10k a week isnt 10k to kick the ball, why should a 10k player be able to hit it from there? some of them are finishers, tacklers, playmakers and sprinter.. not long ball experts =/
 
The only guy ive played with that did that was a defender, and he got 2 in a single cup game:p(One of them went straight down the back of the net with out even bouncing.

I could probably kick that far but no chance it would be acurate and it would ahve be on a volly and not a run.

Good goal by Beckham me thinks
 
The first one was excellent but certainly not the best I've seen especially considering the situation and opposition.

The second one was just schoolboy defending.
