Ok so my Dad bought me a big canvas print of my favourite Bristol City player, it cost about £100 and is about 3 ft by 2 ft.

I want to know if theres anything special I need to do/be aware of to keep it in the condition its in now. Its a reprint of a photo onto the canvas.

I intend to hang it on a wall at some point, will it fade if the sun gets on it? (its also signed in permenant pen) and is there anything I can use on it to protect it.

Sorry for sounding like a bint but I just want to make sure I keep it in perfect condition.

i'm sure sun will fade it just like anything else over time, maybe consider placing it somewhere that will not be in direct sunlight all day, other than that' i'm sure it'll be grand

depends what ink was used. A lot of companies that make these use special pigment ink that won't fade. It is worth checking with the company that made it if this is the case.

It was produced by the football club, my Dad bought it at an evening do we were at.

I have several, never done anything to them and all are fine ( oldest is 3-4 years )

all mine are painted rather than printed but doubt it makes any difference

Coat it with a fixitive this will also help
I am a professional digital artist and do this for a living- The fixitive is water and sunlight resistant: either gloss or matt.
