Arctic cooling Freezer Extreme

can't you fit an entire arctic climate pattern in a stacker let alone a HSF?

It must fit, if it didn't fit a stacker what would it fit in?

I'm talking about the Stacker 830, Which has the side panel bracket to hold 4 x 120mm fans.

I was cutting it fine with a Thermalright Si-128 and a 25mm thick fan(about 12cm tall)

the cooler looks awesome, but the mounting solution just fails :(

There's no way I'm carrying my rig to Lan's with half a kilo push-pinned onto my mobo!

I've been waiting for this cooler. My only worry is it won't fit on my Asus P5Q-E because of the heatpipe cooling system on there. Damn, I'll remove a few fins and make the bugger fit if I have to!

They're in stock in various US stores right now, so it should only be a short time before they're available in the UK. About time, too. It's only 8 months late...

And for those who don't know, it doesn't use push-pins for socket 775, you screw a bracket onto the board and then screw the cooler onto that. I heard that the reason this cooler was delayed was because they had to redesign it slightly and get rid of the pins. If that's true, I don't know, but that's what I heard.

push pins are ok ( sorta) for small ish coolers, like standard intel hsf, but with that sort of weight on it it would have to be a backplate jobby. if the pins ever failed then you could probably kiss your graphics card goodbye, very glad they decided to re-design it.

Having said that, I've just spent most the day putting a ultra 120 extreme on so won't be upgrading for a while lol
