Strange, I'm in the centre of Newcastle and haven't either had any problems or heard of them. Just checked around the office (we work within the energy industry) and there's no mass panic anywhere (except here!

We lost power in south buckinghamshire for a good 20 minutes, The building manager spoke to Southern electric and they said it was a major network outage but wouldnt give any other details.
