Hi guys,

Im just after a few suggestions if possible. My parents' Silver Wedding anniversary (25 years) is coming on Friday and Ive not got a clue what to get for them. Does anyone have any realistic/generic suggestions that I could maybe get for them on a Silver Wedding?

Cheers for any advice

My parents just had there one. I got them a digital picture frame and put all the pictures I could find of the last 25 years. Worked a treat for my mum she loved it. My Dad was happy I got him some beers as well :D.

Not something I've done myself, but I think this is a really good idea, it's personal and will hold much greater meaning than any random present ever will.

Unfortunately my dads already done it at Christmas so I cant do it :( Brilliant idea though!

Get something personalised or engraved for them. Can't remember what I got mine for 25th, I wasn't old enough do it off my own bat though. It's their 40th in 2010 :p

From what I can remember for my folks 25th we got them engraved champaign glasses as a sort of keep sake, bought each of them a piece of silver jewellery and just had a nice meal and stuff like that.

EDIT: If you could afford it, it might be nice to maybe send them away on a short holiday possibly to where they went on honeymoon or something like that

Have you got a price limit, and are you thinking of something really big, or just a small sentimental present?

Thinking around about the £100ish mark. Probably just a keepsake or something for them, my mothers very sentimental and old fashioned.

The holiday idea is already taken care of, they are off in the Lake District for the next 4 days, my mam paid for it as a present to my dad.

The idea of getting things engraved could go down well, definately somethign to look into, cheers for that :)
