Virtual Servers

Hi guys,

I was just wondering, is the free VMWare server good enough to use in a small production environment?

We're looking for a free/cheap way of adding a couple of virtual servers. Current server is running Server 2003 R2 x64 on a Quad Xeon with 4GB ram.

It depends what you want to do with the VMs. For low I/O, CPU, MEM servers the free VMware is fine.

Remember you need a windows license for each VM unless you have enterprise as the host OS in which case you can run 4 VMs on the host.
