England vs USA and T&T *Spoilers*

lol, USA aren't crap. Almost their entire first team play in the Premier League.

For teams like fulham:p

EDIT: But yeah, they aren't exactly crap, but they are not the kind of team we *should* have any problems with. But we will, aslong as all 11 of their players have more than one leg.

Yeah, but they try and we don't. You could say the same for the Scottish National side, player for player nowhere near us, but they scored more points than we did and they were in a much harder group in Euro 2008 qualifying, it's about team ethic.

Nothing surprises me with our National side anymore. Saying that, I'll be surprised if we don't win well :p.

Yeah - to be honest you guys should beat us handily. I don't see it happening really - to an outsider it looks like England players don't have the same "hunger" at international level that they do at the club level. Whereas I think it's the exact opposite for the USA players.

EDIT - just to wind my friends up I have been predicting 3-1 USA :P Honestly though I reckon something like 1-1 or even 0-0.

They really need a good result (England).
I have just renewed my EF+ membership (allows tix to away games) and for the first time in years the full allocation of 25k didn't sell out to current members:eek:
This goes to show what the general football public think of the national side.

Nothing wrong with the USA team.

Dempsey is a good player, playing alongside poor players, and out of position.
Landon is pretty good too, good on him for reaching 100 caps at 26 too!
Eddie Johnson/Adu are good for USA, but pretty anonymous outside of that.
Howard, well we all know that!

Some solid players for USA, but England arent THAT much better imo, we never seem to play well even though we have some of the best players in the world.

Whats the lineup, anyone know?

The question that begs to be asked is, whatever happened to Freddy Adu?

Playing for Benfica, they bought him last season.

I'm hoping Jozy Altidore get's picked for the states... at least on the bench.

Adu, Altidore and Johnson have always been players that have caught my attention when I've seen them.

I'm not saying they're world class players, but all would warrant an appearance in a Premiership side.

England line up that's doing the rounds is roughly....

Terry as captain.
Beckham to play and get a celebration for his 100th cap.
Lampard will play.
Rooney will be up front, rumours that he'll play with either Walcott or Ashton.
Gabriel Agbonlahor is also on the squad list.

Other than that I haven't heard much else.

Yeah, you have to watch out for Eddie Johnson - he's fast, probably has walcott speed tbh and his finishing inside the box ain't bad. Fulham played Dempsey out of position just about all season - he's great as an out and out striker.
