In other news today UEFA have announced that Liverpool top the seedings for the 2008/09 Champions League.

A spokesman might have said "Liverpool are simply the cream of Europe and, despite John Terry's slip gifting them a lucky win, Manchester United are still behind Chelsea, Arsenal and Seville in our estimations"

:D

What with all the excitement of the two best English teams going head to head in Europe, I almost forgot about despising Liverpool. It's about time we had another Liverpool bashing thread, let the fun commence :)

That can't be right mate, the two best English teams are Liverpool and Chelsea. UEFA coefficients don't lie!

Indeed!

But lol at UEFA

It seems that the problem with those stats is that 05 has the same sweighting as 08, there should be a weighting of 40% for 08, 30% for 07,20% for 06 and 10% for 05. That would reflect that a team who won in 05 are nowhere near the same as one who competed in 08.

Stats can say anything you want tbh.

Does that page say that England are the most consistent team with Spain 2nd over the past few years?
