Banned from driving

Arent I right in saying that if numpty here had remembered to use his crappy "I'm test driving it" line, wouldnt the trader have been prosecuted for aiding and abetting drink driving / no insurance etc - as is the case with drunk pillion passengers on motorcycles?

A reading of 90 won't get you banned for a year, its more likely to get you banned for 2.

I blew 74 and was banned for 20 months, and on the course I went on afterwards most of the people who blew above 50 were banned for more than a year.

You are even more likely to be banned for longer than a year if they decide you cannot afford a high fine. Usually they try to fine over a grand for a high breath reading, if they can't then they compensate with the ban time.

You will probably be offered a course which will reduce the ban length by 25%, I found it mostly useless since they don't really teach you anything - its geared to stupid people so a lot of it is repetition. It costs £130 but its worth it because it reduces your ban length and helps with insurance afterwards.

Regarding insuring afterwards, don't get tricked into buying something slow. I ended up with an Alfa 156 v6 which I modified and this made my insurance significantly cheaper than driving a 1l fiesta around (go figure).

I don't know if I should really be helping you on this because from your previous posts you sound like a bit of a tool. Hopefully you will learn your lesson and wise up a bit now.

Oh right, so you've checked out your fully DOC covered and your more than likely over 25 years old then, since 90% (or higher) of insurance companies dont cover sub 25's for DOC (Drive other Cars)

I had you down as a lot younger than 25, maybe 18/19.

hrm... so you had an "excuse" for the lack of insurance (regardless of if its fraud or not...) but what about the drink driving? how do you explain that one away?

The police told me that as well. The police don't hand out the punishments the magistrate does, and they can hand out a lot worse than a year.

The minimum fine is £200 and you will get charged about £40 costs on top of that.

It would seem quite likely that you will also get done for no insurance which carries a fine as well. I think you've got no chance of paying £300 for this...

I don't think you have much choice in how much you're going to pay, if it was up to me I'd fine you over £1000.

You should be ashamed, if your guilty don't try and get out of it, accept the punishment and be a man.

From another thread by the same numpty. This guy has to be a wind-up merchant. Nobody can be this cretinous, can they?

but yesterday i reversed into a car...i had loads of room and i knew the car was there but i wanted to see what a sign said and forgot about the car.. he came out straight away as well as i was driving away. theres a small crack just above the bumper. he was ok about it but reckons its gonna cost about £450 as they will probably replace the bumper, prime and spray and fit..

my supervisor was ok about it, im on there insurance so they will pay this time. his car was a r reg mazda 323 lx btw.

this wont effect my own insurance in any way will it?

I think the thing to do is to Learn from your Mistake as it's about all you can do from it. If you at least learn from this it won't be a Total loss.
I'd start shopping around for a mountain bike & get yourself fit, then I'd save as much money as poss.
Maybe you can come out of this Fit with a Decent bank balance.
