Last time I checked over 50% of the price was still tax, drop the greedy tax and we'll have petrol & diesel for around 75 cents/60p a liter.
It's always the bloody socialists, radicals (green party ********) or social democrats raising tax on fuel, the other more right wing party's were never really for a raise in the petrol price.

Wrong. It was Thatcher that brought in the fuel price escalator and Brown that scrapped it.
Don't blame the oil companies either, we have the cheapest fuel in Europe before tax (according to the metro this morning).
