You need to either clear the cache or take out the HDD, so you're playing with no patches.

Then you use the unlock everything cheat, start a new band, and then fail a song on expert.

Which I did by accident, thinking it was unlock all songs (wanted co-op ones)

Do the one to unlock all the songs fair enough, it's nice to play the songs dont cheat expert, work at it. No matter how tempting.

hard:

5 starred to end of tier 6, getting raped by the devil

expert:

5 starred first 2 tiers (less Barracuda) and stuck at tier 6 (Tenacious D etc)

Oh and tonight was my first play of GH3 in a while

You're probably slightly further ahead than me. Tier 5 ( I think) expert and 5* all of Hard up to and including some of tier 6. I'm also getting raped by Lou. We should have a few games sometime..
