360 steering wheel options?

MS wheel only i'm afraid

Ok, that's a bit dumb, so many good racing games but If I want to play them properly I need to add £60ish on to the value of the console for a wheel that is inferior to the Driving Force Pro I already have:confused:

This makes the £150 arcade version seem a little less like value for money:(

Are there any plans for supporting different wheels in the future?

Unfortunately i haven't heard of any, though many people like yourself have been asking for it. You never know, MS may crumble under the pressure eventually and allow it, all you would need is a small patch for your racing games as i'm sure the 360 can recognise the DFPs USB interface its just the games refuse to accept it.

Yep, in fact it could be supported by individual games, rather than the console itself. It is seriously making me think twice about getting a 360, half the games I want are racers.

Yes!! Its build quality is seriously shoddy! 1 clip to hold the wheel to the desk as well, I nearly through myself across the room when using my mates, the thing is so cheaply made.

You weren't using the official wheel then. Either that or you just have some anal issue with anything MS related ;)

Really, that seems to go against most of the reviews floating about.

Have you had first hand experience? Honestly, the build quality is pretty bad on my mates, the wheel shaft thing moves! I can physically rock the steering wheel up and down like its lose! I don't know why they didn't put grippers on the pedals either plus 1 clip for the steering wheel also confuses me.

The paddle shifts are good and the force feedback.

i have.. it's very stable on my little table going around forza2's test tracks [evil turns, full locks left to right, back to back] and it's center column moves because the force feedback requires some play.

nothing is perfect but it's far from being shoddy.

Are you attaching the wheel correctly using the steel latch on the front of the wheel as when I clamp mine on I can lift up the table it's clamped to by lifting the clamp and there is no play at all. There are rubber grips all over the pedals, unless you're talking about underneath in which case your heels hold it down... unless you play with your feet floating in the air for some reason.

I had a DFP and loved it - yes the MS wheel is not as good or well built, but who cares when it makes the like of Forza2 and Grid sooooooooooooo much better(and fun to play) than a Pad

There is a wheel called driveFX by logitech which force feedback, i have one and its very good with a lot prefering it over the MS wheel, i'm going to flog it as i have to set it up everytime i use it and its to much hastle for me getting tables out etc...

Have a look on the net for it :)

I tried a MS wheel in a shop near me, it didn't feel horrendous but it just didn't seem as realistic or well built as my DFP which cost me £30 and works on my PS2, PS3, and PC. I don't want to fork out £60 for another wheel. So...I care.

If Logitech have a wheel available that works on the 360 I don't see why MS won't allow DFP support:confused:

They don't. The only wheel supported on current 360 games is the MS wheel, i know i stated that before but i felt it was worth reiterating to make it clear to those that seem to have delusions of it not being the case

[EDIT] How on earth did you get a DFP for 30 quid you git? I spent 50 on mine

The Logitech Drive Fx is compatible with the 360 apparently but lacks force feedback so that's out straight away.
