Just have to say I've had an awesome week
First on saturday and sunday I went to dot-to-dot festival Which along with a few big bands. Found some new music.
Mianly Tigers that Talked, which are amazing live and there recoded music is pretty good as well, I can see these being big in the future. http://www.myspace.com/tigersthattalked

I also saw Bublebeez which isn't my type of music. They where really good live. However I don't like there recorded stuff though. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=3190843

Then on Wednesday I saw The Pidgeon detectives where they played loads of there upcoming album. I have to say if you like them there new album will be a must buy.

And tonight I'm going to see Reverend and the makers. Already seen them twice live and there great.

Oh and Joe Dangerous sucks so bad who also played at dot-to-dot.

Did anyone else goto dot-to-dot and see anyone worth listening to as there where like 4+ bands on at the same time all day.

sounds like a blast (first festival?), did you catch the mae shi by any chance?

There were a load of bands i really would have liked to see at dot to dot but because i'm nowhere near bristol or nottingham, it would have been a bit of a mission on top of revision!

CPWK
Dan Deacon
Rolo Tomassi
Spiritualized
XX Teens
Two Gallants
Death Set
Mystery Jets
Born Ruffians
Noah and the Whale
hercules & Love Affair

oh you lucky man

Nah been to loads of festivals before. Didn't see any of them,. Spiritualized clashed with something else. I would have liked to seen them. Didn't see any of the other's though. I think it There was 5 pubs and 6 stages so there wasn't a hope in hell of seeing everything. Great fun and for £30 is a bargain. It also happened in London but I think they had a diffrent line up. Well worth going next year. It's very poorly advertised.

Saul Williams.

I saw him, was right down the front. He was absolutely terrific.

I saw him at Reading in 2005 and was so blown away I swore I wanted to see him again, and then he released Niggy Tardust.

He puts 100% into his performance, and he makes his bandmates dress up like super villains. What more could you want? :D

Oh I saw Bumblebeez and thought the guy should've stuck to drumming.

I also saw Sloe club who were good and Cutting Pink with Knives - Mistake that was.

Last thing I saw Metronomy at the Fleece who were ace!

Not much, I don't think I would listen to him on cd. Live I would have no hesitation to watch him again.

That's fair enough, though "The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust" was one of my favourite albums of last year by quite a long chalk.

I didn't know til the other day that it's Saul Williams and ZDLR on Release by Blackalicious. Everyday's a school-day. Especially for thickies like Carzy

Mates where TWITS like usual. I know lets follow the REVEREND out. Of course I can here his 10 mins of playing over the excitement of 100 fans. Then they wouldn't even go back into ramshackle as it would cost them a £5
Luckily house mates where out so I went and joined them.
TW brilliant gig, just as shame we went home early.
