OCUK accept PayPal ?

Nope.

We accept most forms of credit and debit cards, cheque, bank transfer or cash in the shop. If you want to pay by Cheque/Transfer then give our lovely sales team a buzz.

Ah real shame............... I think you may need to consider it as it would be a great incentive to spend some pennies earned on the bay :)

So I will have to go elsewhere for my memory :(

As I dont want to have to pay fees to transfer to my bank.

Transfer into a bank account is free on Paypal. No fees.

Out of curiosity does the whole pay pal dispute scam thing from eBay work if shops take pay pal, like ocuk ?

Could you get the product then say it was just an empty box etc?

Why? Scammers would have a field day.

I severely hope OcUK never take Paypal until they start getting their house in order.

Most of OcUKs largest competitors take Paypal with next to no issues. It is hardly difficult provided the infrastructure is in place.

Guys,

Good questions but here's the position.

OcUK is always looking into new forms of payment to help our customers - PayPal being one that we may consider - however a number of other types charge the customer fees, delay payment to the supplier, and/or charge additional fees to the supplier.

OcUK's key focus is to deliver high performance quality products at low prices.

Watch this space!!!!

Evidence? If anything Paypal scamming is more difficult than a credit card, you need a registered bank account and a registered credit card with a registered home address and a registered telephone number?

Only way you can scam is if you hack the password.

I've had to go elsewhere on a few occassions because of this. If I need something right now, I cannot wait a week to clear some balance on my credit card, so have to buy from somewhere that takes paypal...ie funds from my bank. (usually order in the wee small hours so ringing OC to do bank payment over the phone is not an option....besides, last time I asked they said they didn't do that)

no the biggest problem with paypal is the chargebacks, they're almost automatic for the buyer leaving the seller royally screwed.

the confirmed address/seller protection policy helps a little but it can still be done.

Anyone thought this could be in the wrong part of the forum.....

Side note i really hope they dont start using pay pal, for some reason it always feels like its taking an extra cut out of every transaction (for the seller) and annoyingly any returns consider the original buyer as a seller, thus charging the returned transaction again :(

it's a 25p charge for under £50 and free when over £50. The only disadvantage is it usually takes about 5-7 days to transfer into the bank account :(

depends which bank i have transfered over £800 in one go and its taken 2-3 days thats with the halifax :)

me 2... think its faster, they must use that new faster 1 day bank transfer fandango, normally takes a week, been a couple of days last few ones ive done tho
