Just watched some Dead Space gameplay and it looks phenomenal! Check it out here - http://www.gametrailers.com/gametrailerstv_player.php?ep=17&ch=1

It comes out the same time as Gears of War 2 on xbox 360,PS3 and PC. It looks to be a good mix of Resident Evil 4,Aliens vs. Predator & Gears of War.

Haven't watched the trailer but that picture looks attrocious!

In fairness, the OP probably couldn't have found a worse picture. Check out some of the trailers, it does actually look quite good.

I was quite impressed by the 'comic' that was added to PSN last night too. But then, Ben Templesmith rocks, simply because of Fell :p.

Awwww i just noticed EA stamped all over this :(. I had some good expectations for it as well. Hopefully EA wont mess it up

Looks like Doom 3:(

I kinda thought that.

I mean everyone is quick to have a go at Doom 3, but this really looks just the same except with more hit locations and a few other mods.

It is basically an optimised Doom 3 engine which is erm FOUR YEARS OLD!

Shows how advanced it was.

Where is the next Doom game :(

I dont know about you but i love alien shooters, always have done. Dont be so narrow minded their are still loads of people who love alien shooters.

There's a difference between a personal opinion and narrow mindedness. My personal opinion is there is far too many alien type shooters. That's not to say i totally dislike the genre but merely pointing out it's an overly done theme for shooters. A bit like WW2 was for years too. :)

The future is cooler than the past :p

That's my opinion obviously but I can't think of one game which is set in the past which I have enjoyed. Hatted the COD series. But I love COD4.

The game trailers in depth report on GTTV made it look pretty good.

They've brought some good ideas to the plate, but whether they get it right or not and whether or not it becomes "just another FPS" is a different question.

I do like the ideas they've come with though.

Zero mavity fights, a decent mele mode by the looks of things. Different aliens have different reactions to your attacks.

Shoot one type of alien in the head, and it wont kill them... it may just blind them, engrages them because they can't see and you now have to deal with a blind raging alien that is flaling his razor sharp arms about the place.

I'm not going to put this one down straight away, I think it's definitely one to keep an eye on :)

I know what you were pointing out and i respect your opinion but i am just saying that Gameplay, plot and Graphics are a bigger part of a game (for most) than whom your opponent is.

Personal opinion is another way to say it ;)

WW2 still is overly used as an FPS :p

Really though, all FPS games are either...

Wars from Yester-Years
Terroists
Aliens
Survival Horror

Any new FPS is going to be pigeon holed into one of those, it's not very often something comes out in any genre let alone FPS games these days :(

Innovation in games went down hill after Point & Click died really.
