Fifa 08 - single player league...

Am i being dumb but can you not play a season in league with a chosen team on Fifa 08, like play as Bolton for a season in the Prem, or play as a div 2 and try and get them promoted in successive seasons?

Cant see how to do it on the menus.

i think its game modes> manager mode

lets you select your team and play as manager but you can choose to play the games or sim them

Ah, you are a gentleman, was getting confused as I thought it was just a pure manager based mode.

Nope, Manager Mode is the thing that has driven me to enjoy FIFA a little bit more than PES over the years.

I like the whole idea of building "my squad" with a side, or taking a League 2 side to the top of the Premiership

The stats part of FIFA (i.e. player improvements) through Manager Mode is a little exagerated though. If you start with a decent Premiership side it's possible to get a side of almost all 95+ players by 2011.

I've got a 99 Keeper, Ronaldo and Rooney are both 99's, Tevez is 98 I believe...
