Hardware companies you have "Blacklisted"

Creative (Do I really need to type any reason?)
Asus (Tho was a while ago I had a 9800XT that failed an they didnt want to know)
Powercolour (Same reason as Asus, was the PC card first lol)
Giel (16 matched pair of DDR2 faulty then I gave up)

Think thats it.

ATi, never had a decent graphics card from them other than a 9800 pro many moons ago.
Everything else they have churned out has been inferior garbage.

^ Fanboi :P

For me, Creative just due to shocking drivers, Qtec (No place in high/mid performance machines) Used to have a big problem with Maxtors although recently I've got a bit more faith in them.

I don't really blacklist any brands, however, I have had some brands which people consider good fail on me including Enermax, Sapphire and PNY. I usually just go for parts that offer the most warranty.

Hyper
Q-Tec
Creative - Although I wouldn't completely black list them I've had my fare share of problems with hardware from them.

Apple - Over-priced, over-designed and far too 'simple' (they hide the truth!)

I've actually had good success with most of the other companies people have blacklisted here. Have a Hiper 580W modular that I've had for a good 2 years with no problems and haven't had any more problems with Maxtors than any other brand (currently have a dieing WD and a faulty-on-arrival Seagate)

Maxtor - Had at least 3 faulty drives in the past

Epson - Because every epson printer i've ever had always ends up with streaky printing and using more ink cleaning heads than actual printing

Cheap crappy makes like Trust just because there stuff looks like tat

creative due to the lack of vista support and feature function loss using vista
Q-tec - for the boooom

maxtor - plenty of failures.
dlink - wifi ap was so poor I ultimately hurled it out a 1st floor window, immensely satisfying.

creative
xfx -- only partially since i was unlcuky with a card (3 fauly ones ina row) and there warrenty isn't direct to them/lifetime like other companies.
dlink
maxtor
fujitsu
q-tek
hyper
kingston
sony -- my irrational dislike for the company, and a dvd drive that tries to steal my cd's off me, might be because it had a bf2 cd in it for a year and half without changing disc though.
motorola

I would have to say anything generic I hate. It has to be a branded piece of hardware.

There is nothing I would blacklist aslong as it is a well known make.

@Ch3m1c4L .... you sig... you say you don't like creative and xfx but you have a creative sound card and also a xfx graphics card....... stop been a hypocrit ;)

I don't quite understand the Creative thing, sure there support for Vista isn't good, but product wise it seems fine. Is it all to do with the 'ethnics' behind the entire driver thing with that guy who's name I've forgotten (David, dave?)
