no, not at all.

it just seems very random that people think a god made the world etc..

i mean why a god? could be anything, but a god? why? no evidence at all.

i think somone wrote it one day and it stuck, everyone at that time did not know anything about the world or how it was made, and to them god seemed to be the only way..

now that we have evidence against it i think it would be silly to still think there is a god.

that is a little harsh to the believers, try not to take offence

Would like to say yes, but after the bad luck me and my close family have had in recent years I am thinking not......

Such is life.......

This is one thing I don't understand?
Are you expecting god to help you or make things right?
God helps those who help themselves and you can't have free will if god helps you out. We are left to our own devices, **** will happen. That doesn't mean Gods not there though.

I dont think its the fact that they want god to help. But its rather they question their religion because someone got taken from them for no reason.

I'm not expecting anything from anyone....... doesn't hurt to have a bit of faith...it helped me when I lost me dad and my brother lost his baby....

I'm fully aware that **** happens to everyone and anyone :)

I don't believe or follow any religion but I do believe there is ... something ... an energy/presence/consciousness/other dimension/multi-plane existence where 'something' else exists

The sooner the world wakes up to the fact that there is no god (and breaks free of the bonds placed by the few)the better we will all be. That would be a no then.

I would like to say I cannot wait to see the faces of those idiots that have wasted their lives believing in a god when they die only to find out there isn't one. Of course, that won't happen because when a person dies they just stop, period. We do not know we are dead, we just no longer exist, sorry folks it really is that simple.

Enjoy it while you can kids, and don't let some repressed old man in a cold damp building tell you what you can and cannot do! :)

That sounds jolly convenient!

see your problem is you never had any religious education. So you don't know anything about it. How can you so easily dismiss something you haven't got the first clue about?

But I suppose it's the cool thing to do.

What should people believe in instead, and how will it improve things?

I did ask this in the thread in s c but you didn't reply...

How do you know that he/she doesn't know anything about it?

By there posts.

I don't care what people do or don't believe. But when people start sprouting of that the world would be a better place, everyone who belves in a God is crazy and all the usual rubbish. That I have no time for.

Damn, I've been doing so well about not clicking this thread...

Well I'll keep it really short instead of posting a massive essay.

Kneejerk reactions to:

- Believers - Don't agree, but doesn't bother me, unless you're one of these types who starts every other sentence "The Lord/God/whatever..."

- Atheists - You're just as irrational, if not more so, atheism itself is a religion, it's the belief in NOTHING...

Me, I'm agnostic. Kneejerk reaction is that god doesn't exist, and I can't change that as my personal bias, but I'm a man of science, so I'm waiting for the day where either party can explain all, and prove every last detail and concept of the other wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt.

What is there to understand?
