Whats your job, and how much you take home monthly?

Locksmith.

I take home about £500 after tax at the mo but thats only because i work parttime. When i worked fulltime for the same company my take home was about £850.

Rail recovery Take home about 1650, this may change when we get more staff hoping not. Should be taking home 1800 if it wasn't for student loans. 35-50 a week :(. Oh that's 4 weekly pay not monthly. which is very rubbishy.

Basic is ~£1250 after tax
add on 7%(10% but only work about 2/3rd of my shifts on nights) for night/weekend shift allowance
Then a couple of hundred for overtime

Will hopefully get even more in a few months when I get my training as when I do certain jobs I get £20 a shift and high grade duty so about 335 a shift before tax, but only get it when i do it. But hopefully be able to claim it twice a week.

Nice. Can you give more specifics on what you actually do?

Work directly with customers to discuss security policies, advise on areas of risk, appropriate countermeasures and the technical implementation of those. Also quite a bit of my job now is doing independent auditing work which often then leads to the above stuff anyway!

I'm a uni student - work during the holidays, and take home about £1000 - £1200 a month :)

My household income is circa £60k gross (I don't work, my Dad does, and my mum is employed by my Dad's company as well)
Which is around £3.5k a month post tax is it not?
