impulse buying

A new 640GB WD Drive as soon as I noticed it was on TWO.

I'm a sucker for anything with a sale tag. :(

OT: Why is Tefal's sig spreading... and changing colour...

ipod touch I guess.. didn't realise the iphone was coming out so soon afterwards. Luckily I ended up selling it so I didn't waste too much money.

I bought a dual monitor stand on impulse, saw it for auction and had to have it. really pleased with it though, saves loads of desk space, great build quailty and I got it for half RRP.

I rarely buy anything on impulse. Almost the opposite really, before I buy anything I have to make sure the one I am buying is the best or has the best value for money.

Same with me, I do a lot of research on all the things I buy (non essentials obv.)

Its something I enjoy doing too!

£11.95 RMSD for a mouse mat?

I know, i was weighing up the pros and cons.

1. If the missus, misses the City link delivery, ill have to drive into basildon to pick it up. I live in brentwood.

2. Royal mail is a 5 min walk if i miss it.

I know.

Im definately going for walks around canary wharf at lunch times.

Worst internet impulse buys.... hmmm..... needs a bit of thought as impulse buying isn't generally something I do. Like the people above I tend to do a lot of research, in fact half the time I spend hours researching things I never buy anyway.

-A Satellite TV tuner card.... when I didn't have Satellite. Oops, should have read the description more carefully!
-Far Cry as my old disk was scratched. I'd already completed the game once and it came out as a free download from Ubisoft the next week, gg?
-A 4gig USB key to use for Vista ReadyBoost
-A secondhand mobo/p3/ram bundle. Cost me £25 off these very forums and it's just been sat around doing nothing for a couple of years.
-Super Mario Galaxy. Had it a few months and not even opened the box yet.

To be honest that's probably at least half of my impulse buys, so I generally don't do all that well with them :/

Had a close escape around the May Day bank holiday, Argos had a Hitachi 42" 1080p LCD at £599 in the sale which seemed like a good deal to me. Was tempted to impulse buy it along with an XBOX360 and Sky HD to make full use of it, but decided not to bother in the end.
